A Short Rant On Strife

One common theme which seems to prevail amid most extremists, and radicals both in the political and social realm is the idea of the constant struggle. It seems do be everywhere. What do I mean?

Think about it. Most of the rhetoric that we meet in today’s world is simply one that involves the idea of fighting. In Marxism, its class struggle. In capitalism, its always about the best. In Social Darwinism, the struggle of the fittest. In right wing extremism it is the struggle of race and ethnicity. In our lives, it is the struggle to survive, the strife to find the best partner and to mate.

Yet, is our society, our lives purely based on the idea of struggle? I highly doubt it.

In some minute echelon of this world there has to be a moderate place where the idea of fighting, the idea of conflict is simply in-existent.

I keep trying to find out, possibly, if somewhere in this world there is something where people merely base their social condition non  co-operation , or whether it is possible to base such an extremity on co-operative means.

The more you think about it, the more you get sucked into the idea that there is no hope for this world of ours. Yet, even such idealism can be dangerous. Reality and truth should become dogmatic, yet they do not.

Surely, the course of humanity and history cannot be simply based on the idea of struggle? Maybe Marx was wrong, maybe Antontio Gramsci was just as wrong. Maybe it is far more complex than mere economics, politics and social conditioning.

Whatever the case may be, I truly hope this is not the case, but it seems to be.
